The highest asking price that I know of that we have ever seen on a GM clam wagon. It does look super, but $35k? https://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/6159669705.html I think we've seen it before, but can't be sure because the old photos have expired. Miles are the same as is color and equipment. Price WAY up. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/1973-pontiac-grand-safari.39667/ 1973 Pontiac Grand Safari condition: excellent cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel: gas odometer: 26672 paint color: yellow title status: clean transmission: automatic type: wagon 1973 Pontiac Grand Safari Woody Wagon, 9 passenger. Has a V8 455 Big Block engine, power locks, power windows, power tailgate, a/c, 8-track stereo. Runs good, interior in mint condition, exterior in good condition, some minor scratches.
Very nice looking car... but the 455-4bbl was the only engine available in the Grand Safari for '73 so it's not like it's super rare because of it. Not to mention '73 was one of the biggest years for production numbers on the wagon. $35k... wow. I have the exact same car...
I like this from the ad: If this is true, why is he shortchanging himself? He should be asking $50K at least. I suspect even he doesn't fully respect the NADA pricing. $80,000 for a station wagon? This is why no one pays attention to the NADA price guide.
When would it go for "High Retail" for $80k in 2017 dollars, in 40 years and if Elvis drove it? He did have at least 2 Cadillac Wagons if I recall right.
Actually I put the link up on the car for 1 reason. If the #'s are correct and it actually HAS the SD 455 that would be damn rare I would think in the wagon. I was thinking of calling and asking him to include pics of the heads/exhaust manifold area.
Turns out it can be yours for a mere $17.9k. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Pontiac-Grand-Safari-/252977817683?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Finally down to a semi-reasonable required opening bid of $13.5k. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/252997457340?vectorid=229466&lgeo=1&item=252997457340&rmvSB=true
