Good catch. I remember that post. Regardless, to see a wagon at a barrett or mecum or rm is cool.

I wonder if they really expect to snare a lot of bids with the "enormous classic bug shield"?

They're afraid to remove it so they put the spin doctors on it to make it look positive. It drives the price up on 'all original' maybe it will here with the bug shield. Maybe pretty soon, we will be selling all our old 70's stock with repop bug shields to drive up the price.

Sold for 7700. Take of 10% buyers premium and it gaveled for 7000. Take off 8% sellers premium and he is down to $6440. Take out the 750 auction fee, you are down to a hair under 5700. If he had to ship it.... netted maybe a little over 5k depending upon whatever detailing and fixing cost him to show it and drive it around there.

Why would he deduct 10% buyers premium? He only sold it correct? Tom

Barrett and all the auction houses report the full price with buyers premium included. If this was a $3.3mm Ferrari
330 GTS, the gavel would have been $3.0mm but they would tell the world $3.3mm cause that is what is paid. The seller would also cough up their piece and pay to have it there.
