The engine is rebuilt small block 400. Please contact the phone number for more information. Seeing the car name misspelled like this several times makes me wonder if someone gave the ad to his preteen son to post.
What makes you think the name was misspelled? Little known fact, while the caprice was Chevy's full sized rear-wheel drive wagon, there was a second option offered for one year only. Called the Capris, it was a front-wheel drive version of the caprice. At least that's what I assuming based on the information found in this ad anyway...
Well if the name was not misspelled it still does not say much for the seller, I could understand 1 "oops I did a typo" but.....or maybe they believe the wagon is a front wheel drive Capris But I have to ask, who what when and where did this "Capris" appear on the market even if for only 1 year? Any search I tried kept asking me if I meant "Caprice", couldn't find a pic or any mention of a Capris
It was a SPECIAL multi manufacturer FWD experiment for 1 year only. Ford and GM got together to make an uber dependable FWD wagon. GM supplied the body and they decided to go together on the drivetrain. It got 76.9 MPG. They Used the GM "Classic" Badge and they used Ford's Old time Capri badge. The only mistake made is they added the s on the Capri. I am sure it's just a repetitive typo.
I never knew this, but I'm guessing 76.9 MPG is the reason the project was forgotten, heaven forbid the loss to the poor starving oil companies if it was mass produced...............
