    :agreed: :yup:

MIGHT break $10K, but I seriously doubt it will get near $15K. I think it will top out around the $10K mark. Of course....I could be wrong.

Guys that troll eBay with deep pockets are killing the market for buyers. Great if you are selling but I hate to see cars over priced because of stupid money. Some here may think this car is worth $18K. I don't.

Broker for this Buick says it was someone from Europe who bought it (which is becoming more common as an investment) With the conversion, he paid around 14,700 Euros.

I guessed the 15 - 20,000 because around here I have seen base model, stripper sedans going into the 5 figures, and they needed work. Seeing a loaded, almost mint unrestored wagon, I knew it would go dear. There never were that many that well equipped, and to see one that nice now is rare. All it takes is two people who want that car, and auctions can get stupid dear.

I would never have thought it would bring that kind of money. This blows out the numbers in any of the old car value guides.

This bodes well for us wagon owners... our values are bound to go up as the supply of wagons is dwindling and as the demand for old wagons is increasing. The stigma once attached to wagons, in my opinion, is dwindling. Now we're "almost" considered cool... haha

Well, you guys are cool. I'm still a geek.

Maybe. I tend to think this is an ebay-only anomaly, driven mostly by European interest. Don't think many folks state-side would throw out the NADA guide.

...And hey, the seller hasn't been paid yet (in talking with him I got the sense he was holding his breath). If it shows up again on ebay, the game starts over.

With the recent discussion of the ceiling for prices for GM clamshells, I was reminded me of this incredibly beautiful and totally loaded 1976 Buick Estate Wagon that sold on eBay by this dealer in 2012. The selling price of $18k seemed unbelievable at the time, but it has never resurfaced for sale so far as I know. It looked perfect. I feel sure the new owner is enjoying it completely! I would!!! :yup: :bouncy:

The one I just bought has more options and lower miles. I can tell you I paid a pretty sum for it but NOT $18k. ;-) But I do like the wider white walls on this one!
