The paint job looks very nice. Just wondering why it had to have a re-paint at only 13 years old. I mean a re-paint on any car, should be explained why. Especially if Everything else is so clean. Car-fax wasn't around back then, so maybe a fender-bender....???? Just sayin'.......
Well, you could probably afford it at regular market value, which, in my opinion, would be around $5-6k.
I can't speak for this particular car, but my dad had one of these and boy was that thing a rustbucket (in Penna) by the time it was 13 years old...funny thing it was only the body sides - the floors, even the far rear and the frame were solid. Even so, I'd love to have another....I don't know if I'd go $10 large on it...maybe 7500-8000 max, but that's just me.....
That is because it was powered by a Buick V-8, after about 40,000 miles they seem to ooze oil out of ever seal and gasket on the engine. It has a byproduct of rustproofing the floorboards of the car. I had a 77 Century wagon, the front fenders and rear 1/4's rusted out by 70,000 miles. I got another 200,000 miles out of it with very few problems. But I did have to add a qt of oil every other tank. And it was still running strong when the gas tank went on it just shy of 300,000 miles. Probably the best $50 I ever spent on a car. That's right a massive $50.00 purchase.
Hey Jaunty, I was just re-reading your post and forgot how Frickin' Funny you can be ! Thanks for the morning laugh in the re-read.
You'd think seller might have gotten the message by now that this admittedly beautiful wagon is simply priced too high - after languishing on the market for over a year now. This would be another good eBay prospect. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/ctd/5972436943.html
ok nice car, clean well done - but since beauty is in the eyes of the beholder - these eyes thinks it's still ugly as sin - well done, clean, original - great - still lipstick on a pig
