Also appears to be no reserve.

Without documentation claim of ownership by Berlin is of no value.

Note: Berlin was born in 1888, which makes him 90 (or better) at time of alleged purchase. There weren't many 90 year olds still driving back then. Not that he couldn't have purchased it for someone else.

The seller seems very honest in regards to the condition. The "blistering" under the Di-Noc is almost certainly rust (note the location of the vehicle). For any sensible person, this will cap the value at not much more than the current bid of $2026.

I am sure there have been several Irving Berlins in that neck of the woods. But hey you never know.

A copy of the 1979 title should solve it.

    I missed that picture.

It could change the whole value of the car if it becomes Berlin memorabilia.

Well, Berlin did live in New York, at least. He died in 1989.

If he died in '89, then it's another Irving Berlin; there is a 1994-date written on the document, and other incomplete 1990's dates typed on it.

Even though it has a green interior, which I'm not big on, it's much better than the s#!t-brown interior in my '83. That green paint sure is an eye-catcher, though.

The car title might not have transferred for years, depending on what happened with the estate.

That I could believe, if the new owner's name was on the registration, and they had a copy of the old title turned in. Sorry, but I'm not convinced

It may be that the original title has never been turned in and won't be until and if the wagon is sold now. (I'd ask for a copy of it if bidding.) It could have continued until now on the original title and registration if the fees were paid every year.

Anyway, even without the Berlin connection, this looks like a very low priced '79 CP just for what it is and the low miles.
