In So Cal.......... Beautiful wagon for driving around L.A.

Recent work done, including new paint. I wonder if we saw this one in its unimproved state?

Remember it's a 1990 "Seat belts on doors" model unless they've been retrofitted, lots of people do not like these because of those darn seat belts.

Excuse me if someone's already answered this question, but what is the reason people don't like the harness/lap belt in the doors? I know it was something of a problem for me in a head on collision in my '95 Cutlass Ciera 4 door. But what's the real reason?

I've never had a car with the lap belt in the door. But don't think I'd like it. Seems awkward.
If I bought this nice looking wagon I wouldn't let the belt stop me from driving it.

It has to do with if the door comes open in a collision. Door opens = belt goes with it = possibility for person to be thrown out of the car. That's how some folks think about it at least.

Okay, that makes sense. I got fractured ribs when the harness in the door of the '95 Cutlass tightened against me in my head on crash.

You've also got some '1-year only' door parts. That's enough reason to stay away from it right there.
