400 V8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-cheverolet-wagon-runs-great-/191626865618?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
Really not a very good listing. Not many photos. (Don't give us this "ask for more photos" nonsense. Put them in the listing.) Only one photo of the interior, and it doesn't show much. No mention of options on the car. All we can tell is that it has a manual tailgate and non-power windows. We don't even know if it's a two or three-seater. Also, he calls it a Chevy Suburban. He probably knows it's not a Suburban but figures that listing it that way will attract more hits when people do searches on ebay. But he has time for TWO photos of the tune-up sticker under the hood? C'mon! He does list the VIN, and that tells us this: 1L35U5Y144574 1 = Chevrolet division (duh!) L = Impala 35 = 4-door, 2-seat station wagon. (Aha!) U = 400 cubic inch engine, 4-bbl carb, 175 hp (so we at least know what engine the car left the factory with, and it apparently still has that engine) 5 = model year 1975 Y = Wilmington, Delaware assembly plant 144574 = production sequence number at the Wilmington plant
Seller updated the listing: "The car for sale is 1975 Chevrolet Impala, station wagon. The title list the car as suburban, so does the registration. The vin # on metal tag by windshield-1L35U5Y144574, also matches # on title and registration. Some buyers are asking me questions about this"
The way that rear wheel is sagging so far makes me question the shock mounts with it being a NY car and all that rust that goes with them...
Allegedly bid to $2605 with reserve not met. Almost immediately relisted. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-cheverolet-wagon-runs-great-/191634442057?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
