Pontiac did a lot of moving around of the instruments, depending on what options each vehicle had. Ones with the gauge package had a digital clock put over above the center radio/HVAC stack, and there was a 'fuel economy' (read: vacuum) gauge in the center space.

Krash, that is only if the Fuel economy gauge was ordered, the 77 Catalina Parts car I just picked up has the Gauge package with a analog clock in the center were the economy gauge would be. I have also seen just the digital clock in the center dash with the idiot lights.

I'm still very surprised this very unique Pontiac has not bid any higher than this with less than 24 hours to go. It sold for more ($8800) than the current high bid two years ago.

Well this beautiful machine flamed out at just $8195 reserve not met. I don't get it at all. :disagree:

There's a chance a new bidder (with a fatter wallet) may come in, who didn't see it first time around.... At least that's what the seller is hoping.

Giving the seller the benefit of the doubt here....

If he's serious about selling it, he would drop the reserve some.......

    Nice wagon.

Thats a nice wagon you picked up Jeff. The parts car you picked up, is it a two door with matching color combo to your wagon ? I sold my Cat a couple years back and miss it.

He's probably got too much in it...

From what I'm told, this wagon sold some time ago for $8,800 on Ebay. It then ended up at a dealer (in NY?) who was asking $14,900 for it. I assume the current owner bought it from that dealer at a much-inflated price ($12-13K maybe?) and now expects that or more our of it. That's my theory anyway.

It went from selling by eBay at $8800 to a dealer in NJ who greatly inflated the price to well past $10k - correct. The fact that the current owner apparently paid too much doesn't mean anyone else will necessarily repeat that error.
This is a very beautiful and very rare Pontiac wagon. But there is a limit to its value.

Super cool YouTube video from August 2013. Narrator says it was in NY state at the time but still had the IN antique plates. No telling how many owner changes since then.
