A bargain! (Yes, I am being sarcastic). http://eastky.craigslist.org/cto/4916302895.html "If you're looking for a wagon to make your own for the local cruise-in this is it! It is in pretty good shape for an 87; it's my daily driver. I really don't want to part with it, but it's impractical for driving to and from work, since its sort of a gas hog (I am looking to get a smaller, more fuel efficient car). It has an oldsmobile 307 engine with 145000 miles. It is an awesome car that I wish I had time to fix up the way I want. The good points: new belts, pretty good paint job with little rust, nice front bumper, near perfect interior for the year, relatively low miles, new plugs, a/c and heat work, rebuilt carburetor, some new brake lines, It has a rear facing seat!...probably more I can't remember. The bad points: It has an antifreeze leak. Don't know where its going. I think its burning off somewhere because the oil doesn't show any signs of contamination. It is a pretty major leak; I go through a container of antifreeze per week(ish). The power steering belt needs tightened, and I'm pretty sure it needs new rear brakes. It needs new weatherstripping, rear bumper is pretty rusted. Like I said, its a daily driver so the miles will go up. It has a spare, and 2 extra tires to go with it. Also have some spoke-type hubcaps. Right now it has snow tires on it. I am asking 5000 or best offer. Thanks!"
Nearly perfect interior???! I guess the worn through carpet doesn't count? And wow, that's a lot of rust in a lot of places. This one might be worth a grand. Someone needs a healthy reality check.
Wow, I am not asking that much for my 78 Impala Wagon. And it doesn't have rust or engine issues, and the carpeting is alot better than that. Not to mention it has 40,000 less miles! Not a bad Pontiac (besides that it probably at least has a blown head gasket, but could be a cracked head or block!!!!! But definatly in the $1000 to $1500 range.
