http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/4887091489.html I asked about this car; The tire well is rusted and the rear window is broken. No engine or transmission. Per the ad: 1975 buick estate wagon - $1700 (beaver falls) 1975 buick estate wagon fuel : gas transmission : automatic title status : clean 1975 buick estate wagon. Baught for a derby and now i have to go out of town. Need the room to work on a different project. 1700 obo
With that rust and no engine, it's a $500 car, tops. For $1700, you can find something like this in much better condition. I wonder if the rear window is always left open or was just opened for the photos. My guess is the former, and who knows how long that's been going on in Pennsylvania weather. I notice there's no photos of the interior. I'm not surprised. Maybe a $300 car. On the other hand, maybe he should pay $300 to someone to take it away.
I called him on it and agree. would never work for me at all not even good derby meat with the shock boxes rotted out.
What's strange is that the wood graining looks pretty decent. I mean, considering how ratty the rest of this wagon looks, I expected the graining to be the worst part. Chris
A real shame to see a GM clam like this 40 years later - as mentioned, the body looks surprisingly good. With the missing tailgate window, the interior is probably a mess.
Sure. He didn't mention it in the ad though, I had to ask about it. I'm not too far from a drive away to see it in person. Are there any parts someone here would want off the car? I did ask if he'd part it out a bit, but I didn't get a response so I may ask again. I'm particularly thinking of the weather strips around the rear window section and the roof-rack.
Update! The seller told me someone's going to get it tomorrow at 10 AM and is driving 5 hours to get it. I don't think I'll be going, I thought I was at first.
I have a couple interested in whats left of mine. and I guarantee you it would STILL destroy this thing. with plenty left over.
