The ad says $1500. Have you been talking to him?

If you really can get it for $500, then, yes, of course! That's pocket change.

Cool. In all the debate on how to value old cars that we have from time to time on this site, this certainly goes down as a data point in favor of the idea that asking prices mean nothing.

Sounds like a great buy, if not a steal. Congratulations.

Yup, I would take it for $500.....what are you waiting for? If youi have some where dry to keep it, you will have just about any spare part/s ....P/W motors, glass, etc, etc, etc.

If you do get and only for a parts car..... I'll buy the Buick hood ornament from you as I don't have a spare one on my parts car.

I could/would like the hub caps....but I'm sure the shipping cost would be insane!

Ok, so i have it on my driveway!!!
The guy even delivered it !!!:yahoo:

A whole folder of receipts that came with it.
Turns out that he had a whole bunch work done to it when he bought it, and it has a 403 in it now, i have to go through all the receipts but he had over $10000 worth of work done to it .

Lots of usable parts for me, a/c compressor, rear bumper fillers, rear glass swipe and probably the 403!!

Not bad for $500 delivered to my door:yahoo::yahoo:

The 403 was worth more than the $500 you paid! Congrats and great score!

Well congrats on your score. I have to admit though...am I the only one who is quietly wondering if this really is a parts grade car? It sounds like the last owner spent a boat load of money on it....

In any event, good luck with it whatever you decide to do.

No, its not really parts car grade, but i really don't need another wagon:D

I really bought it for a/c compressor, bumper fillers and just to have spare parts for my wagon.

Going through all the receipts that came with the car i found out the previous owner spent close to $15000 between 1997-2001 including body/paint, and had a rebuilt 403 and tranny installed with very few miles after that.

After uncovering this, i'm probably swap that motor into my Caprice!!:dancing:

    Save a Wagon!

Since I am the shy and quiet type who quietly waits I didn't mention how I felt about it. But now I will!

That wagon looks way too nice to part out. It needs to be saved and enjoyed. Clean it up and sell it. Use the profit to get the parts you need. You don't need AC and Tedy don't need a stinkin hood ornament.

It looks better in the picks than it does in reality.
Haildents all over, some damage on 1/4 panel, and some serious rustbubbles around 1/4 glass, and also the inside bottom of the doorskins are pretty bad.

On top of that, there's not a huge market for the old wagons around here besides the derby guys:cry:
