I'm trying to find something nice to say about this humble but tired Rambler. I guess maybe it's best just to say nothing at all.
How about, "Hope it finds a caring home"? At least it is getting some bidding activity. I think I spotted four bids to date.
This one's in a rather remote part of Oregon, on US 395, just north of the Calif. border. There was a '68/'69 Rambler American wagon for sale here on CL in the Eugene/Springfield area a while back. Looked to be in pretty good shape - much better than this one. Had the 290 V8 in it. I think the price was around $2,800......
I kinda like the little critter! Just enough roughness to add character. It's actually all ONE color and not rusty "patina" silliness. And the wheels add a look of "yeah, I'm a little guy, but I look mean!".
looking this poor thing, its no wonder amc ramblers are called orphans. its a shame it isn't cleaned up. and as an amc fan, it would be more appealling if it those crusty front seats were replaced.
you have a 65 american wagon? lucky guy! i grew up in a 65 220. it was the last brand new car my parents bought.
It sold for just over $1600.00 I don'tconsider that a bad price for the seller considering it is a I-6 with a manual trans, that combination will turn off 90% of todays car shoppers!!!!!
