Actually, I believe the spelling has an accent on the 'e' - Volare' First page of '76 Volare' brochure: http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/plymouth/vol76/bilder/1.jpg
Pretty rare to see the wiper on the tailgate on such an old car. Also has the upgraded vinyl seats (instead of the cloth and vinyl) and AC which makes me wonder if it's been in Wisconsin all its life. Slant six, too, can't kill those.
For that money, you can't go wrong. The rust issues the '76 and '77 cars had, had been taken care of by the time the '79s hit the showrooms. The '80s were good cars, and had the odd one-year-only grille and rectangular lights.
80s were the only Aspen/Volare models to have hydraulic lifters in the slant 6, and the only ones to have the plastic inner fenders to protect the fender tops. Neat car, well equipped, but that 6 is, to me, a no go zone. Too slow by half, and too thirsty to justify it.
