So the back part of my ignition switched popped out today, and I can't figure out how to remove the rest of the switch from the dash so I can replace/repair it. If I push the metal "barrel" from behind the dash it will push the bezel out 1/16" but it doesn't have a clip or anything I can see to remove. Any advice? Its a 1964 Ford Country Sedan. Thanks.
Thanks for the info Vista. Turns out the main thing I wasn't doing is removing the lock cylinder first. The requires a toothpick in the small hole next to the key, and then turning the key counterclockwise....it pops right out. Then, while you firmly hold the bezel on the front of the dash, you push on the "barrel" behind the dash and turn slightly counterclockwise. It came out very easy. Now I just need to figure out how to put the guts back together.....or buy a new switch. THANKS.
