You mean that little thingy at the end of the fin above the tail lamp?

I've noticed that before on these wagons, and my guess is that the stamping for the quarter panel on the wagon couldn't accommodate a 'neat' joint between it and the rear body panel (area between the tail light and the edge of the tail gate opening). So this little trim piece covers that area. I noticed the '72 Olds 98 sedans and hardtops, although they use a very similar tail light design, have a different way of handling this area. They have a 'cap' or filler on the end of the quarter panel.

    I could be wrong though........

Not crazy about the color combo but looks like a pretty solid wagon.

Not a bad-looking car at all. Not my favorite color, either, but what are you going to do.

We can see from this photo that the A/C is the high-end Comfortron system, which was notorious, as I understand it, for being difficult to keep running properly. He says the A/C "needs work." Top of the dash looks good. The front, at least what we can see of it, looks good.

It has a power tailgate and cruise control. I believe that switch on the left side above the A/C control is for the cruise. The rear-defogger switch would also be in that location if there was one, but I believe that switch says "Cruise" on it. We can't see enough of the doors to know about power locks or windows, can we? I don't see a tilt wheel.

What's that orange thing under the dash on the left side of the steering column?

The putrid colour combo, Ya just don't forget that. I'm sure this one has been posted several times in the past.

A re-spray with who cares about the origonality factory colour, + wood again would do wonders for this wagon. The green on this GM makes me think of this movie.............

Is this what you're talking about? The little rounded-off, flat-on-each-side piece above the taillight? This is the back left side of my wagon. It's just a little piece of trim to finish off the top of the back end of the rear fender.

If it was all that green I wouldn't care for it, but with the white inset, I like it. Gotta be a 9 passenger, right? Would also hope it had a 455......its a shame they don't make cars like that anymore.

It looks to have a class III tow hitch and that looks to be a brake box.

Was this one posted earlier? It looks very familiar to me and I did post in the other topic.

It could be a two or three-seater as both were offered, and I can't tell from the photos which one this car is. If it's a three-seater, it would be eight passenger, not nine, at least officially, as there are only two sets of seat belts in the third seat. Being between the wheel wells, there really isn't room for three adults in the third seat, anyway. Small kids, yes, but then not all would have a seat belt.

As far as the engine, the only engine available in any of the clamshell-era Custom Cruisers ('71 through '76) was the 455. If this car has its original engine, it's a 455.

She looks really solid (this color combo make me think of a lime creamsicle bar.) Door panels indicate power window option. And I seem to recall it's a two-seater. But if anyone was interested in woodgrain for this wagon, I can help source reproduction of original woodgrain, as on my '71 CC.

It is a six seater. I have got many more pics of the wagon, however, i am away from home. The green is a sloppy paint job, over a lot of rust. The roof is rusted through above the doors in the roof, a common place for rust.. little rust around the rear window, and the is a lot of rust above the left rear wheel sideskirt. You would not expect that. The car had been sitting, so needs some standard work. I was intrested, but the rust was a little too much for me. It does have power windows, locks, and seat. At the time he asked 2500. Nice driver, however, after shipping cost to holland, it is a pricy wagon.
