    2 speed? I had a '68 Caprice 4-door sport sedan back in the '90's. Don't recall which engine I had, but I thought for sure it was a 3 speed. Was the 2 speed perhaps standard equipment on the Impala that year? (Am I mistaken in recalling I had a 3 speed?).

    Nice lookin ol' wagon other than its sittin WAY TOO LOW for my likin!:disagree:

    I had a 68 Impala Wagon w/396 BBC, T400, 12 bolt posi, factory dual exhaust, AC, PS, & luggage rack back in 1980. Man I wish I had that today!:(

    The full size cars came with the Powerglide (2spd) with a 6 or small block, you could get a Turbo 400 but that was optional. Chevy hung onto the Powerglide for years...
