'86 Mazda GLC Wagon on eBay - Emeryville, CA

Pictures aren't great (when will people learn not to post pictures taken at night?) but the wagon seems to be in pretty good condition. $1,800 takes it!

And it's a 5-speed manual.

I like the small fallen tree, couldn't remove it for the one pic but I guess they got the chainsaw out when they opened the drivers door for a pic

 

I wondered about the branch too but then I realized that it is not actually leaning up against the car it is just in the way of the picture.

This was Mazda's first successful small car, 'GLC' stood for 'Great Little Car'. First came out in hatchback form. The wagon was added a bit later. Sold as the 'Familia' in Japan and other countries. It is REAR wheel drive. Quite roomy for its size, too.

 

I thought that GLC was FWD like the 323.

Just looked it up on wikipedia and it appears that GLC switched to FWD in 1980. Post 1980 are the models that I am familiar with. IIRC the Mercury Tracer was a re-badged 323/GLC. I had one for several years and it proved to be a pretty decent econo-box.

I think he entered the VIN wrong. It was my understanding the GLC hatchback and sedan changed to front drive in 1981, but the wagon remained rear drive, that 1985 was the last year for any GLC, and for 1986 they were sold as the Mazda 323 and all models were front drive by then.

Only 41 minutes left to go in this auction, and the top bid is only $405? And it can be bought through BIN for $1,800? I'm kinda disappointed.
