http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/4601457220.html For Sale: 1972 Buick Sport Wagon. Great original condition. Only 24,577 miles! My Grandfather purchased it new and hardly used it. The interior is in excellent shape except for a small cigarette burn mark in the front seat but he had purchased a replacement and never installed it. Comes with a new tailpipe and 2 snow tires. The vehicle is equipped with a 350 engine / 2 barrel carburetor, automatic transmission, trailer hitch, fold-down and swing out tailgate, and even a home made hood latch lock... apparently batteries used to be stolen very easily out of these cars. And yes... the electric power window in the tailgate works!
I think this '72 Olds Cutlass is a better deal... http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32508
The Buick has my vote. If it would have come up while I was looking I would have taken a trip to Wisconsin.
That 72 Buick looks like a great car, but it does not have air, and I think it is a little high. If it was a full sized car that would be a different story. Jim
72 Buick I actually called the guy on this car. Its' been for sale for awhile now and in my opinion Over-priced. The car has virtually no options. The seller is pretty firm on price too! He will probably have it for awhile. This is not a 10K car. Even with the low miles. Just sayin'.......
Nice car. I was all set to say this car wasn't a Sport Wagon because Sport Wagons have roof glass like Vista Cruisers. But apparently I was wrong unless someone added the Sport Wagon call out on the rear quarter, which I doubt...
I also called the owner and asked him if the car could be drive any distance? He said it needed tires, he also said there was surface rust on the rocker panels. I didn't see any rust in the pictures but it is a northern car. He is not a "car guy". His father thought the rust could just be wiped off. He told me he thought the car was priced low for what the car is.
