455 V8 and heavily loaded up for just $3000. :thumbs2: Weathered exterior appearance but highly optioned with A/C, power windows, locks and tailgate, tilt and cruise, 3rd seat and cornering lamps. Good colors, also. :yup:

It would put the monetary market value up if they'd go get the car professionally washed, waxed and cleaned - in the interior and under the hood.

    Rather weathered vinyl wood siding:

Sometimes faded/etc stuff does have its value in a way that factory-fresh just doesn't, though. It's like this 1967 Mosrite Celebrity II Bass which faded from a red finish to partially orange:

Wish I had some extra money because I bet this one could be bought for $2500!

Is there anyone here near it to give a look and report on this car? I was thinking of waiting for an Oldsmobile of this year but here's this Buick of the same year and it has a trailer hitch (though I'm not yet sure if that's stock or after-market.) I don't see any photos of the spare tire well, that's of concern to me.

Hm. I'm looking closer at this photo and I can see rust holes in the driver's front fender.

Most notably about this car is if I were to go buy it, would I be able to drive it back safely without doing anything else to it? I heard a tale of a guy who rode a 1970s Ford LTD and yet the floor pan was gone and if he would've hit a bump he would've been on the road because it was so rusty underneath.

Needs a lot, but for the price and all the options a pretty good 1974 GM clam wagon.

Then there's this high option '74 Buick Estate Wagon clamshell with some visible flaws that is priced pretty low, given it's loaded up and fairly rare at this point.

My wife and daughters drove though Amarillo yesterday. I tried to convince them to pick this up for me on the way through. Needless to say I was unsuccessful.

Has to be the same wagon, which should provide LOTS of room for negotiation on the current $3000 price !!!! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

So close to derby prices, seems this Buick clamshell should have sold by now. (Not that I'd want it to be derbied.) :disagree:

This one still available continues to mystify. Any thoughts?

It has problems definitely, but at that price, should have long since sold.

Someone please save this Buick clamshell from a derby. The price is on the edge.

I may be going to Texas in December but it will probably be gone by then.
