Sorry it didn't work out for you 101 but sounds like you know what your after and what you want to spend, that's half the battle. Good luck in your search.

Good thing you were able to look at it in some detail. Always sad when a wagon/car is not as good as the pictures make it look. I've had it go both ways, more of the not so good, but there are times when you go to look and you get a huge surprise as just how good it is.

I often read sellers saying "no disappointments" and thought is that for the seller or potential buyers? I've seen a few with that wording that have been very disappointing when I've gone to look.

Sorry 101, but hang in there. I'm sure you'll find your perfect long roof; just takes some time, that's all.

The other wagon I looked at (a 1993 Roadmaster in Latrobe, PA) was in more structurally sound shape than this one mostly (though I didn't check the tire well for that one so I'm not commenting on that.) Now, however, I may go looking for a 1971-1976 Clamshell wagon. Have you seen any 1974 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser 3-seaters for sale lately, or any other cheap ones that look like they're in Derby territory?
