This looks like it could be a pretty good deal, especially with only 39000 miles on it, assuming it's correct. Seems to be a fairly basic one with the 14" wheels and covers and the fact it's an LTD and not a Squire, but it also looks like it'd clean up real nicely.

I know I'm just being nasty here, but I'm pretty sure that it's not common to find snow on the ground anywhere in Indiana in mid-July, polar vortex or not. How about posting some current photos?

If that's correct on the odometer I do reckon that's a decent price. The car needs some things addressed if it hasn't been driven much and hasn't been maintained regularly, though.

Looks like the 4th wheel cover is sitting in the cargo area. Helllloooo!! Why not take the 30 seconds to put it back on the front right wheel before you take the pics, or better yet, spend $100 bucks and get it detailed. It sure would come across a lot more than it does now as a 39000 mile '81.
I am glad that the '81's have the same front end as the Squires. I never did like the '79 and maybe even '80 LTD, non Squire, single headlamp.

You know what? This car may possibly be sold for at least $1,000 more if only they'd wash it, wax it, clean the interior and do some basic maintenance to it so they can say "We just had all these parts replaced" which cost under $500 to do, labor included. (as for maintenance I'm talking about the basic spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, oil and oil filter change, etc.)

Though they may just keep it and use it too. Funnily (or not?) I tried selling the Caprice for $995 and it didn't happen even though people looked at it. That works though, I ended up using it.

I'd take it. Wood delete. Blue. Not 90s or newer. Yep. Not a Mercury by name but close enough. Love the Ford Tail Lights.

    I miss station wagons.
