The desirable 351 V8. Looks great! One owner. 85k miles. http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/4517975150.html
I'd question the claim that it's got a 351 under the hood. By '85, weren't pretty much all of these equipped with the EFI 5-liter's?
85 Colony Park Tedy, Didn't you post this Wagon from a craigslist Ad in April for the guy who wanted to swap his wife's P T Cruiser for a wagon... ?????? Same car???? Just thought the picture looked Very Familiar.
Per Wikipedia: (maybe seller got the year wrong and this an '86 model) This generation of Colony Park would see few substantial changes during its thirteen-year lifespan. For 1983, it became the sole full-size Mercury wagon as the previous year's 'base' Marquis wagon was no longer offered as a full-size model. In 1986, the 5.8L engine made its return as an (rarely specified) option. Starting in 1987, the Colony Park wagon was offered in GS and LS trim.
In Canada, the 351 was an RPO in the wagon through 87, and in the sedan, through 91. They came with the VV carburetor. (Ugh) In 89, it was a $185 stand alone option that included a different axle ration. In 'normal' cars, it was a 2.24:1, and in Tow Package, Police Package, and Performance Handling Package cars, it was the 2.73:1 Traction Loc. Traction Loc was also a stand alone option on the base cars, in either ratio.
