Looks nice and it's a red Buick. I like it. Tailgate needs work and apparently the red paint is hiding things I can't see.

Saw an episode of 'Pawn Stars' a couple of weeks ago. A Las Vegas guy (older) had restored on of these. Did a very nice job on it. Chrome looked like brand-new. Two tone blue and white. Had a 3-speed manual. Unfortunately, the owner wanted $56k for it. Harrison only wanted to pay something like $20k, so no deal was made.

See there????? And this one can be bought for under $750.00. Most of the chrome looks decent enough to be cleaned up for a driver. And everything is there. Besides it's a Roadmaster.

Never mind the colour, it is a 56 Buick Roadmaster wagon, and there were not that many of them made. For sure, the survival rate is not very great after this many years. Looks like all of the wagon-specific parts are there, too. For the money, this would make a great parts car for one that needs trim. There is certainly money to be made from the trim alone. Once you got into it, it may be possible to fix this one, too. Done up, these are worth a good amount of money, so sinking $40,000 into it is not beyond reason from a purely financial point of view, assuming you have the money to sink! It would be a shame to see this one disappear.

The one on 'Pawnstars' was just a Special (3 portholes)

I believe that this is a Century wagon, as Buick didn't make a Roadmaster wagon between 1953 and 1991. The portholes are deceiving. In 56, only the Special had the three portholes.

For that money it'd make a killer lawn ornament if nothing else, much to the chagrin of the neighbors.

For that money and if the "not worth resto due to rust" as seller claims.... if it's drivable for one summer (safely) it would be worth it IMO.
