He's certainly dreaming about 140+ mph, that much is certain. I like the car. The wheels are sweet, the colors nice, the stance right. $8K, maybe? Hey, it's a 390 car from California; good selling points themselves.

Why does everyone think their car would make a nice RAT ROD? I don't see a highway sign, house door knob, or any of that real ratty rod stuff anywhere on this wagon. Maybe because the hood does not shut properly and it appears like it leaks like an old Harley..... or maybe rain water.
$7500 tops if it will go 140 MPH on level ground.

That really stinks when folks cheat others out of their hard earned money. What comes around goes around!

Wow! What a friggin' loser this wagon seller is! So, from the experience of the Cougar buyer, I'm guessing the $12,500 Ford wagon is more like a dolled-up $2,500 pile of $#it, more likely than not.

And that California plate scam...sneaky little bastard, that's for sure.

I sent an email, via Ebay, to the seller.

    Dear 67redshelby,

I see that California plate was also displayed on a Cougar you sold several months ago. Care to elaborate?

    I got this response:

This car has the original plates both front and back and calf title and smog equipment

Sounds like a politician, he gave you an answer without actually answering the question.

In other words, the seller is full of $h!t.

My response to that guy would be: "Post a copy of the California registration (aka "pink slip") to verify this information. You did, indeed, have this SAME California license plate displayed on both that red Cougar and your Ford wagon. Two cars can not have the same tag number!"
