Maybe, Santa had to take some roughing up to get the price down to Earth

we actually talked him down to $800.00, we called him back telling him we really really really wanted the wagon, sight unseen except for the picture, we didn't even know it had a V8 in it till we got there (we left home at around 4 am) as it was about a 2 1/2 hour drive. the previous Monday we had bought an old truck and on our way (2 hour drive) to pick it up they sold it to someone else 25 min. before we got there .....so that's why we paid full price

I wonder if you would have gotten it for 1/2 price, if you had held a candle under Santa's beard. Just curious
That 273 must have been a pleasant surprise, though

Are you going to stay with the white roof? That would look killer against the pink and keep that vintage vibe.

Pinkyakabb... Congrats on buying the car. I was looking at it for a long time, but never could figure out shipping it to me. THere was a freeze plug that was rusted out ont he rear of the 273 in it, so it wouldn't drive. I am hoping to fiind one of theses someday. Good luck with it!

Forgive me but painting it pink??? Eww.

turns out the rear freeze plugs were new, there was a lot of slug in the engine and grime/junk/crud on the outside . We actually drove it onto the trailer when we picked it up, by hooking up the trans cooler lines (radiator was out of the wagon) installing a battery, adding gas to the carb and air in one tire. what was not in the ad was she had quite a few dents , both rear doors, rear panels and smashed in tailgate and rear bumper. She's pretty in pink now , just waiting for some new door handle rubbers, some color sanding, new tires and some clips for one tail light.......and then we tackle the interior which is in good condition.....The Wicked Wahine is in a very happy home

Pink is not a color I like. I owned one Pepto Bismol pink car. Everytime I looked at it I had to take a swig!
But your wagon looks great, especially with the white roof.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
    Mrs Clause would love it.:christmas:

The Valiant wagon looks great. Since its not "stock" anyway in that color, I would suggest a 64-65 Barracuda grille and some Mopar rally wheels.

    i like

no I love her just the way she is, our other muscle cars are the correct colors and yadda yadda, they pretty much stay in the garage......so I wanted a week-end beach cruiser , one where we could put our German Shepherds in and not worry about any sand getting in , she is the Mopar Challenger/Charger Panther Pink .....and not pepto....lol

and she's mine .....ALL MINE!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
