Yup - having an original 428 in a '66 would be extremely rare. A 289 was stock. On the west coast, virtually all the '65 - '69 Squires I saw when they were new had 390's in them, with maybe a few 352's in the '65 model year. It was certainly sufficient, power-wise.
A 428 powered wagon is right up my alley! Wish I had the finances and space. Would love to have this one in my garage. However, I'm surprised it doesn't have the 3rd row seat, as loaded as it seems.
