Wonder what happened to that thing. See the damage on the passenger side? the door pillars are peeled back and the Vista roof is shattered.

I'm guessing whatever smacked it in the left rear quarter had enough force to cause the car to move to the right, pushing it into something that damaged the upper B-pillar area.

It looked like it was a nice car, otherwise.

That was a pretty clean wagon. I'm guessing it got hit right there where it's parked now (or maybe 10 feet to the rear - look at the big skid mark in front of the driveway in the main pic).

I'm with you Marshall, in the second pic you can see a large amount of glass on the curb and the near by grass.

If you look in the first couple of pictures, you'll notice what is either a tree or telephone poll up on the curb. The car probably got pushed up into that judging by the damage on the passenger side. We had a similar scene with a '73 Ram pick up that my dad had years ago. We lived on a busy street and the truck was parked on the shoulder of the road. A drunk rear-ended the truck in basically the same spot this wagon was hit. The truck got pushed forward, hopped the curb, and the passenger side wrapped around a telephone pole that was right there. What a shame. That was a good looking Buick - the poor guy probably won't get anything close to what it is worth from the insurance company. One that nice would probably be in the 5 to 7 grand range to replace.
