It looks very respectable. Only in California, and maybe a few other places, could a car like this be a daily driver. Here in Ohio, it would go from no-rust to a pile-of-rust in very short order.
Retropia, regarding daily drivers, about three years ago I bought a Travelall that spent its whole life in Santa Fe, NM and brought it to Delaware. It had a perfect rust-free body but with plenty of road chips and dings. She was my daily driver but I was also reserved in driving her in the rain and foul weather. No matter how often I would touch up rock chips there were always other hidden chip or scratch that would start to rust. I was always chasing after the effects of Mother Nature. Within 18 months I had rust bubbles forming in the rear quarters and on the cowl. I ended up selling the truck last year since I couldn't stand seeing her deteriorate any further. I still have sellers remorse but I also know it was the best thing to do. Chris
Daily Driver My 63 is my around town car. Some people are un fazed by the age but other people cannot get how you drive a old car around. I tell them easy get in and turn the key.
It's the humidity that gets them around here. Our humidity is what gets them around here. If you find a nice survivor from out west, the paint is most always very thin and then it starts........the creaping rust. First thing I try and do is wax the crap out of the paint and spray the bottom of the floor boards and all nooks and crannys with oil.
