He's not kidding that it needs work! It COULD be a decent buy, if the under side is in decent nick. If not, there are a LOT of parts for other cars. The tailgate, for one, seems to be in decent nick, and judging by the number of times we have seen people looking for them, that is worth picking up the whole car for. After all, that gate will fit both the Satellite and Coronet wagons, over several years. Just which years, I am not sure, but Hollander's will answer that one.

Given those pictures what do you suppose the odds are that the uni-body is still anything close to straight and true?

Realistically, somewhere between slim and none at all is my guess.

It's kinda scary how close this is to the condition my Satty was in when I bought it in 96' for $50.00. The only difference was it was on 4 somewhat decent tires (bias plies).

I suppose the cinder blocks were put underneath it to keep it from sinking into the ground?

The interesting thing about this one is that I see surface rust, but no rust through in the usual places you'd expect to see some. Of course with only two photos, there could be lots of surprises lurking unseen.

Up on cinder blocks yet the tires show tale of they have been flat for a very long time .....they are still years flat on the rims off of the ground:slap:

Poor old girl has sat and 'under rotted' IMO for a very long time based upon the grass around it, yet dirt/gravel under it. Covered in garbage.....

    Sad........

It looks like a great parts car for mine, but no price, and to far up north, especially in December
