That is a pretty decent price. Why are the good deals always so far away?

I'd love to save this car. Not too many Estate's made.
But, if memory serves, it either has no title or a salvage
title. I think he pulled it from a salvage yard. Admirable,
but SO hard to get titled. Never got very good photos of it.

I live in California. It doesn't matter how clean or dirty the title is--- if the car is from outside California. It's an exercise in rigamarole either way. The wagon does look good.

I dont think it has the 3rd seat option because I dont think it has the vent windows in the cargo area windows, which would signify it is a 3-seater.

*Ironically, I keep seeing a '76 or '77 Malibu Classic 4dr sedan at one of our local cruise-ins in the spectactors parking lot. It is a nice and original car... looked high optioned as well.

Hey you guys! I picked this one up. The title issue isn't hard to deal with. the car had went to a wrecking yard a number of years ago, issued a stock number. Title went to the state. Just have a bill of sale from the wrecking yard, since no parts had been removed or replaced, a State Patrol inspection is all that is required. not much hassle. The guy threw in a dual exhaust crossmember, a set of boxed trailing arms and sway bars from a '73 ElCamino SS, an extra tach dash. This car was definitely worth picking up. I have another crate 454 looking for a home, but the small block in this one runs so good, I'm just going to dual exhaust, roller cam it, toss in a hard hitting 700R4, do some QA1s, lower it a bit, toss in some kickin' tunes, add a trailer hitch, air bags, fix the leaky windows, do a carpet kit, have my wife restitch the front seat and cruise it until I find another. I will probably not even paint it. It has a lot of patina, no rust requiring service. Already has a factory Posi, full instrumentation, tilt, power windows, seat, rear hatch, air, cruise and it all works, except the rear hatch and a retrofit for the A/C but that's easy. I just started in on some diagnostics today. It is a completely unmolested survivor. I'll clean it up, straighten out the paperwork and sell it. This thing is a really nice driver as is!

    Congrats!

Think you got a pretty nice wagon, especially for the price.
