I love station wagons. But moving from a 3 car garage to a 2 car garage means I must give up my dream (for now) of having a sweet old wagon. I just bought it this summer and fixed a few things. I will list what I consider the flaws, but keep in mind this car is 43 years old. I'm asking $5,000 for her.

There is a small split on the front passenger side (but it's a seam, so it should be an easy repair).

    The paint is tired......it's original.

    The dash lights work intermittently.

There is a small dent on driverside rear. It is all contained in the woodgrain section. Should be easy enough to pull or pound out.

Someone put newer woodgrain decals behind the front tire wells (presumably to cover some rock chips). I have knocked on the area and it is solid....there is no rust.

Frankly, there is no rust anywhere on the vehicle. It was rustproofed when new and when you look underneath the car, all you see is the rustproofing material covering everything. They did a great job and that is the secret to why this one survived when so many others have just rusted away.

It has power windows (I replaced on motor when one died so they all work now) and factory A/C (I never tested, but when it's really hot, I drive my modern car). And the 455 engine runs strong and burns nothing and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The odometer shows 03452 miles. While it could mean 203,000......the wear on the car seems to indicate to me that is more likely 103,000. It drives like a dream. Good tires and great brakes.

A previous owner installed a CB radio and a trio of gauges (the gauges seem to work, I didn't test the CB). They also installed a crappy AM/FM radio (if I had time, I'd track down an original radio and swap it out).

I can help to arrange shipping if you need it. I can also deliver it within a 2 hour drive from Milwaukee. Or I am just 5 minutes from the Milwaukee airport and can pick you up if you want to fly in and drive it home

You can email any questions you have to mikeslps AT hotmail.com
