    How unfortunate. Looks like all of these cars were destined for a derby at one time but didn't make it (thankfully). Instead, they were just left to rot. They all look fairly complete so hopefully they can be restored or at least used to restore others.

    I think you are exactly right. I think these were derby bound and never made it. There look to be several other early-mid 70s GM sedans and coupes out there as well. That '74 Electra looks like it was once a very nice car! The exteriors look weathered, but look like they are not too rusty unless the undercarriages are rusted out. The interiors looked baked out in all of them.

    There is a whole whack of derby bound cars there, and the ad mentions that the top price is $2000, but not for which. It looks like there my just be some very interesting cars in there.

    Being down in Lamar Co they should be faily rust free. Unless after the tires dry rotted away they were sitting right on the ground.
