Interior is loaded and looks spectacular. Exterior wood grain clearly is not factory and has been reworked, so I have some doubts. Still, an overall very pretty Chrysler woody. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979...0497117?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item43c0629d5d
I like it. With 15" Magnum Road Wheels, and what I feel is nicer-looking woodgraining, it should sell for a decent price. A 340 is always a good thing!
oh those options I do believe a 318 was as big as they got in 1979, I might be wrong, but, either way, as Patrick says, "a 340 is always a good thing". And a 340 certainly makes it fit the title "ponycar station wagon" just that much better. The ad talks about all sorts of work that's been done on it, I really don't think it's what the factory put out in 78. So, I wouldn't worry too much about the woodie not being factory, either... If'n I had the cash on hand, I'd gladly bid this up to 4 or 5,000, maybe even 6. "Roll With It Baby", Steve Winwood...
In 79, I believe you could get the 360 as well as the 318 with either a 2 bbl or 4 bbl carburetor. The 340 is going to be a LOT more powerful than either of those engine. The 15 inch Magnums look fantastic, too. As for the woodgrain, the colour of the trim is definitely darker than stock, but that is the factory pattern. The graining decal probably peeled, and that is what was chosen to make it look like wood again. All in all, it sounds and looks like the job was done right, so this is likely a fantastic car.
