    Very nice.

It'll be on a boat heading for Europe or Australia within a month.

Yes. First thing I thought of when I saw the pic. Whitewalls are getting very hard to come by. Talk on the GM Longroof forum is that you can only get them in our big wagon sizes from a China manufacturer (forget the name - not well known). Not sure what I will do when the time comes, but I hate the blackwall look. Chances are, I'll be going with white letters on the rally II's when I get them.

This particular wagon looks very nice. Apparently some issue with the original mileage being 46k from the VIN history. In this case, I'd tend to believe what the seller says.

Just remembering - these are terrific road trip vehicles. The trip I took to Vegas in '89 wasn't too much fun, but back in '85 or so I remember we rented a Crown Vic sedan for a trip to Vegas. Very comfortable and smoooooth.

Perhaps we all need to band together and send off a petition to the tire companies to start making the whitewalls again. I'm sure there are a lot of American made land yacht sedan owners that would join in with us.....not to mention the Grand Wagoneer crew.

I got a set of Hankook or Hanook...however the heck it was spelled....whitewall tires for my Fleetwood Brougham two years ago. Hated them!! The quality of the rubber sucked. The whitewalls sort of got a slightly yellow cast to them after the first couple of months. Cleaned them with the same cleaners I've been using for 20 years...never saw this problem. Even the blackwall edges always looked kind of dingy.

"serviced at Wal-Mart":confused: say it ain't so.

All I have to say is, you'd better crawl under the car and see how old the oil filter is because those suckers probably did not change it. I speak from personal experience. Used Wal-Mart during my college days when money was tight for oil changes in the Town Car when I was away from home.....NEVER AGAIN! One day the car just quit. Oil filter had not been changed in at least 3 oil changes in a row! I am ashamed an embarrassed to be admitting this....I think I'd better go get a glass of wine to cheer up :drink:

The whitewalls on my Country Squire are either made in Korea or China. Hankook tire. Despite that, they handle relatively well (on the track :jumping:)

Good looking tire though... they don't get much mileage but they have been pretty resilient.

    whitewall tires

i had the same problem as i wanted new white walls for towanda when i first got her. originally when i got her she had 3 different branded WSW tires, and 2 were SNOW tires! took me a week or so researching to find what i have now. the tires i have for my country squire towanda, are 70k mile firestone affinity touring series with road hazard coverage. these are common size tires are very popular, most people just dont do the WW side out much anymore. great ride, great wet traction and not chinese crapola tires. cooper also makes WSW tires. there are good brands with whitewalls left. just gotta know where to look. not too shabby

Nice enough, it's true. The 351 is going to give it a bit more zoom than the 5.0 that came in most of them. :yup:

Someone needs to grab this wagon, and fast. Being a 351 car it is a rare one. With the right upgrades, this is an economy car on the highway, and has more than ample get up and go, too. Almost my dream car! I don't want leather or vinyl interior, though. Give me the cloth and I'd be a very happy camper.

Can anyone tell if this car has All-temp
Controls? It appears to and it really can
be a pain in the butt!
