http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/3920002574.html This is a rare 1965 mercury Colony Park wagon. The Colony Park was the top trim model for wagons in 1965. This is a 2 owner California car. It was purchased from a mercury dealer in Santa Monica, CA. in August 1965. This car comes with a copy of the original purchase order from the Santa Monica dealership showing all the options that was ordered with the car: • 390 Marauder engine • Multi-drive transmission • Air conditioning • Courtesy light • White wall tires • Deluxe luggage rack • Third row seat • Power Steering and brakes • AM/FM stereo with rear speaker • Tinted glass • Padded panel • Side mirror It's been in California since new. It has a 390 Marauder engine and automatic trans. The car was in storage for many years. The hoses and belts were recently replaced. I replaced head light switch, radio antenna, the front brake shoes including the wheel cylinders, replaced the wheel seals, packed the bearings, resurfaced the drums, and flushed the brake fluid. The car stops great! I had the autolite 4 bbl carb rebuilt. I changed the oil in the motor, trans and diff. she starts up first time in the morning every time and runs very nice and quiet. The car does smoke a little though; I think it is because it has not been run much in quite a while as she only has 99k original miles on the odometer. I confirmed the mileage is original. The interior is in very nice unrestored condition (see pictures), everything works on this car, lights, radio, all windows go up and down very smooth, the rear window has a switch on the dash and yes it works perfectly, it also works by using a key at the tailgate. The second and third seat look like no one ever seat on them, the third seat is rear facing and both seats fold down flat for hauling boxes etc. this car has no rust anywhere! I just charged the a/c and it works great too! The original paint is so-so but still looks good. It has dual exhaust with what looks like nos tail pipes. Please feel free to contact me with questions. Hard to find untouched, unrestored original vehicles in such amazing shape. You can never find cars like this on the East coast. This car was recently shipped from California and has a clear California title. Drive it home...
From Lynch Lincoln-Mercury in Santa Monica all the way to New Jersey. Looks like rust-free wheels are now being 'imported' to the east coast........
oh baby baby An excellent looking wagon. From the first year of Colony Park being advertised as "the Lincoln-Continental station wagon".
