327 with automatic. They don't get much cleaner than this. http://www.autotraderclassics.com/c...t-Biscayne-1147785.xhtml?conversationId=10911
Wow - it was just there and now it's gone just like that. It looked showroom new - South Dakota car priced at $12,500. I didn't even have time to save any pics.
I don't normally like "base model" cars, but this one is cool. Its a base Biscayne, but the interior does not seem so plain and it has nice options like power steering and power brakes.
I noticed the dog dish layout too. I'd keep an original set of those, but put some 1965 wire wheel covers on with some whitewalls. We had the 4 dr sedan of that, with 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree, cheap radio, and in dash factory air conditioning! That never ceased to amaze me.
The ones on the passenger side look like the 68 Nova dog dishes. I think the driver's side ones are the originals.
The ones on the drivers side look just like the ones on my '65 sedan back in high school. This is probably what those cars at that dealer in Nebraska will look like after being cleaned up. Guy is coming to check out my Torino and parts collection pretty soon. I'm hoping to have 5-6K or so to go and try to get a "new" '65 Chevy sedan or wagon. It won't happen, damn Barrett, damn Jackson, and damn anyone who believes in an easy buck, but I'm sure gonna try. Maybe something else will come home with me. A pallet full of brochures or something, I don't know.
