351C V8. 96k miles. 3rd seat. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Torino-wagon-96k-orig-miles-No-Reserve-/200937602778
The car is 40 years old. My bet is the stitching let go. Also, the velour will be much more comfortable than the vinyl ever could be. They had one very talented upholsterer do the work, too, by the look of it. Well done, good choice of colour and fabric. All in all, for $1,000 I only wish it were here! I'd have it in a heartbeat!
We have a new member who was looking for a Torino wagon. Will look for that thread...they might be interested in this one. This certainly looks like a sweet example!
Mileage don't say much about an interior. 40 years of sunshine can take a toll, even if the car had only 5 miles and it spent a lot of tume outdoors, the sun would have really done a number on it. The interior of my '72 is still all original and nice, but it has been garaged most of its life out of the direct beams of the sun.
Yeah. I didn't think about that. Guess I'm used to the condition of my cars @ 100k miles, where they don't need to be re-upholstered.
That went for a very low price considering its condition. I was expecting $3000-4000. Gives me hope, maybe not all 70s wagons are going to become expensive!
