Looks like a diamond in the rough. They must not know what the parts are worth. Hubcaps would probably be a return on investment, making the car free.

Why isn't this one here? No way to lose on this one! That is less than scrap value, never mind the value of the parts!

For $200, I'll bet I could talk the wife into letting me have this for a parts wagon. Lots of good stuff there. I especially like the wide rocker moldings that can be used on my Bonneville when the 'wood' finally goes south.

Of course, I'd probably end up turning the Caprice into a runner anyway. Kinda glad this is on the east coast so I don't have to ponder it......

I agree, if it was in my town for $200 I's also grab it for spare parts.

Now I'm wondering if I should buy it and tow it over 150 miles if it's still available. It was posted over two weeks ago, After all.

But I'm looking for an Estate wagon without fuel injection and with hand-crank windows.

But it does go to show that he who seeks, Finds - Sometimes nice things happen and it can be fun, Like a treasure hunt. Perhaps that's partially why some people go to yard sales? It's a reason why I used to do that.

I just checked Google Maps and the car is actually over 230 miles away on one of the quickest trips to get there.

I need to think and discuss this with my family.

Heck, Austin - that's just a Sunday jaunt. I drove farther than that to look at a Colony Park - which I didn't buy.

101, just go for it! If it is a dud, strip off the parts you want and sell the rest to the scrap yard! You'll make money off the deal, even with the cost of going to get it! If scrap prices are the same there as here, you'll get about $400 over the scales for the old girl as she sits. You may just end up with a terrific car out of the deal, too.

I think it's time to be persistent about the eMails. I sent one yesterday and I didn't get a response, I sent another one today. Whether or not the person checked the eMail, I don't know. I think I know of a way to tow it over 230 miles, Too.

@101Volts - would you be willing to part out the car at all? I'm in desperate need of the roof/luggage rack!
