That seems like a pretty good deal. I'll contact the seller after i win the lottery. (I could probably scrounge up the initial $3k. It would be the restoration expense i would have a problem with....)

Oh man that is so cool! decent price as well. But yes restoration costs get out of hand real quick.

Wonder if he would do a 'twofer' deal, since the white one next to it is another 58 hard top wagon. Both look solid, too.

3k IS fer both cars. Seller calls the white car a "parts car." :coffee:

I called the seller on this one. The white car is a '58 Colony Park with power windows. It also has the Colony Park trim. However, some kids busted the windows out. He says the floors are still solid.

The maroon/copper car is a '58 Commuter. It was originally black with a white roof. It was the local coroner's car. When they painted it, they only did the exterior (no door jams, etc). With the exception of the rear quarters, it is a fairly solid car. It also has a 383 engine.

That white one, then, is the special one of the pair, even if it is the 'parts' car. Love to see both brought back to life, and $3,000 for both seems like a very good deal!

Profitting from selling what's left of the parts car should buffer the expense of restauration

Yes and no, all depends on what is left and the condition.....and you also may hang onto the parts for a very long time until you have a buyer. I have a wall art section in my shop of....some day some one will want this...:D
