This Olds could be a heckuva deal for just $1000. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...-Cruiser-7-Passenger-Wagon-W0QQAdIdZ484468813
Hope somebody on this site gets it! That's less than half what I paid for mine, and it has cornering lights, fender mounted signal indicators, and who knows what else.
I too hope a forum member gets this wagon. I'd be very interested if it were not so far away from me.
why oh why? Yeah... It's in far flung Canada... If it over here Sylmar, I'd probably be getting it, too... It might be so inexpensive, however, because it IS in far flung Canada.
Battery required? New tires but can't put in a battery to sell it? Something's up when an owner doesn't want to put another cent into a car after putting new tires on it and is selling it cheap. Driveable can mean anything, he never said it drives good. That is far away, may as well be in a foreign country.
Valid points. The battery thing gets me also, sh** I can go to a auto wreaker and buy a used 90 day warranty battery for $30.
If it is still available on the weekend I will be calling about it. Only thing is that being a 90 it is subject to emissions testing and I bet that is the problem. My guess is that it will not pass!
Knock on wood, our insane state/county auto inspections were done away with years ago. I think the '90 OCC is well worth looking over, but then, I'm rather prejudiced
I have already contacted the seller. He says the lower panels on both sides are rusted out and a few other things I don't remember. I am wondering....parts ar for my car?
Update on 1990 OCC on kijiji I spoke with the owner on Friday. The car has been sitting for 2 years and he has been using it for storage....sigh....I hate that. There is a leak in the oil pan,the HVAC doesn't work, rocker panels and fenders have " significant " rust, his words, I asked if he had ever had it sprayed, and he said no....sigh......I hate that....... He said it was last certified in 2008, he is the original owner, and told me he did regular oil changes. The interior is in decent shape. He gave me the vin, I wish I could check it to see what engine is in it. He also said he wasn't going to let it go for like 300 or anything like that but when I go see it, I am looking at it more for a parts car for the 88 electra. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.......? But the never sprayed thing.......shudder......I can only imagine whats going on under there.....
What type of parts do you need for your Electra? In my opinion, you should pass on this one and wait until an Electra Estate parts car comes along. With this one, there's just going to be too much that's not usable on your Buick.
