Looks like some sort of wagon hiding in the garage in that second picture. :hmmm:

Not a factory reservoir in that Newport, that is a Pep Boys aftermarket thing. The stock unit is a bag that hangs from a bracket, and it's missing.

Krash, you are one amazing eagle-eye! (y) That would have taken me forever, and I still would have probably been wrong!

Notice the ad says "original owner!", and then in the narrative, the bonehead seller says "purchased from the original owner..." Hell, I can say the same thing about my '66 Coronet! "Original owner!...Purchased from the dealership where the original owner traded it in 33 years ago!" Is that not the same???

Looks like great condition either way. He also has it near where my coworker lives.

The '61 and '62 Chryslers are beautiful! The '61 has the fins, the '62 does not, but are the same car otherwise. I really, really want either year.

Theres a 62 Newport sedan like that that comes to local shows here in northern Virginia. It was at the cruise in at the Burger King in Manassas, Virginia on Saturday. ( I took these pictures at a local Mopar show last fall.)
But this one is a little unusual. Its a factory police "Enforcer" model. It has the "Enforcer" name on the valve covers of it's 413, and it has all the police equipment as well. Notice the lights in the rear window.
THIS ONE IS NOT FOR SALE.

Jim, I feel like I am watching Dragnet or something. I know this is earlier than that, but it just has that tough cop feel.

Its probably closer to being like the police cars in the TV show, "Car 54, Where Are You". But those weren't exactly "tough cops" in that show.

Haha! I was watching Dragnet the other day. I love the way Bill Gannon falls all over himself racing to the car radio when he and Joe decide to do something like call an ambulance.

My 1963 Pinner Chrysler ambulance us a police package enforcer, and it didn't have the decals on the valve covers when I got it. I have never seen those decals on an engine before. That doesn't mean that it isn't a true police car, but it should have the large alternator, Carter AFB, and the dual snorkel air cleaner. They also have heavy duty brakes, 15" wheels and tires, and special wheel covers that are vented. It is most likely either a clone or it was a city police car built from a standard Newport. The police enforcer package was expensive option, so it was mainly purchased for State Highway Patrol units.
