Seller doesn't mention what engine. i don't see a 'V8' emblem on the fenders, so I would assume it to be the 225 cu in slant six. This would make a pretty good wagon......
He talked it up good, said it was a slant six. He is pretty firm on the $4,000 which I agree is quite fair, from what all he said he'd done to it. It's an original grandma car.
RH quarter is in similar shape. The tailgate has the standard rust. Seems a little odd in the front driver side rocker and the passenger lower rear door. Still a nice looking wagon. I imagine there may be some under carriage rust with what those quarters look like.
I was looking at this one and thinking that $2,000 would be about the top end for this wagon. Both quarters need a LOT of work, and my guess that with them like that, there is other damage under there. The surprising thing is that the front fender tops look intact. Also, it needs at least one tail lamp lens, and that is not going to be the easiest to find, I'm sure, since it has the optional reversing lamps inset. I notice he does not show the front seat,, either, just the rear, so I wonder what shape that is in! Could be a nice wagon, but could also be a real money pit to get it to that state, and at the end, you are still left with the 'deluxe' trim level and a 6 cylinder engine. Deluxe back then could still be very basic indeed, although it does have carpet on the floor, not a rubber mat.
Around 1971, I owned a '65 Dart 270 2-door. The front seat upholstery was starting to fall apart already by then.
Darts were always considered 'throw away cars' unfortunately, so a lot of the trim parts and upholstery were not the best of quality. Seats did tend to show wear, especially the cloth, which in this trim level was a sort of brocade effect. My guess is that it needs upholstery, dash work, and quite a bit of body work to save it and if it doesn't get it soon, this will be parts on the hoof, worse luck.
All I can say is....some of you guys sure can throw big money around when looking at some of these cars.
Tire blowout. No big deal. That is an easy panel fix. Four g's is a bit steep for this one, considering the overall condition and not engine or interior pics. I'd go maybe three, judging from what's visible.
