    I wonder if they would take payments and how much it would cost to legalize it for the streets of Chicago?

    It's about $200 for title, plates and tax.

    9.25% Chicago city sales tax ( if Chicago resident) (Not Cook county, outside Chicago city)
    120$ Chicago city sticker (small car 85$, up to 4500#)
    25$ Chicago residential permit... (Yes, your 'hood requires them)

    Should you get nailed for no sticker it is cost of sticker PLUS additional 200$ ...


    Reg gas is about fifty cents more than outside city... So 4$ and up ...

    Liability alone for you would probably be about 100$ a month in Illinois...
    Then add for being in Cook County and then add for being in the city...

    Nooww.. Stopped and no insurance,, hmmm,, 500$ MINIMUM.


    ( Driving without insurance is a petty offense in Illinois. The statute citation is 625 ILCS 5/3-707.
    It is classified as a petty offense, it has a punishment of fine only. The defendant cannot be sentenced to jail.
    The maximum fine for a petty offense is $1,000.00. The statute says the minimum fine is
    $500.00. )

    Well I expected the other things but I didn't expect that putting the title into your name would be so expensive. I think it was only $50 in MO. Do they temporary tags here?
