    Sure would be a shame to see that scrapped. Looks decent and very good price.

    I called and left a message to call me back. There are two problems with these Checkers:
    1) is RUST. You can see it in the hood lip and all along the roof drip rail. Hard to believe but they made five ! different hoods for Checkers and the way they mount are all different.
    2) It is a 4 wheel drum brake car and the brake drums are unique to the AeroBus models. And not available. You can convert it to disc brakes from a later model Checker which is no problem if it's at your place. This is one of the main reasons these get parked.

    Oh and last but not least you need a big truck to bring it home:thumbs2:

    Why does all the cool stuff have to be sooo far away?

    It looks like you'll be able to peel the roof off by hand pretty soon but it's seems like a crime if this ends up being scrapped. There weren't many of these made.

    Strangely I didn't look that close the first time. Still worth it to check if not too far away. Also odd about the different hoods. We just keep on learnin here. :bouncy:

    wow....from what little I can see and for the money....that rig is sure worth saving!:yup:
