http://lawton.craigslist.org/cto/3748944843.html "Rare European sealed-beam headlights", goes the ad. He must not know this is what all of the '87s had for headlights! Priced decently at $1,500, though!
If being offered for four years as standard equipment on a model that was built for fourteen years counts as rare, then my Gran Torino must be the rarest car of all, it has a Low Fuel Economy light that doesn't even WORK anymore and it was like, a one year only item! I can't even imagine the value if I changed the BULB in it...
My Torino has been a golf ball since I've owned it. I see no point in repairing hail damage on anything that isn't leased or pretty pristine. Now once the kids are gone and I have disposable income, I want to get it painted and that's when I'll flatten all the dimples. I like cheap cars, what can I say? I don't see this Caprice dropping in ASKING price unless it's missing some windows. Seller has been firm on it every posting since February. Maybe by summer he'll budge. At least it's not a '90 with door-mounted seatbelts, and it has wire wheel covers, roof rack, and tan interior, and no woodgrain, and all that increases its value to me. I'd paint it white or black, get the AC working if it doesn't already, and it'd be a good'un.
