86 Buick....again

Same pics as over a year ago, and pretty much word for word description, I clearly remember the "it will be scrapped".

I talked to the guy about the hub caps and some misc parts. He declined saying it was still to good a car to part out but would not come up with a price for the entire car....

I have a feeling I'm wasting my time, but I'm gona try again.....

He wants to sell it, but won't give out an asking price. Interesting salesmanship concept there.........

So this must be one of those "I don't really want to sell it, but if you make me a good offer......" deals. All you can do with that is take a real good look-see, making sure the seller knows you're aware of the problems with it, then tell him one fair (to you) offer. If he says no, then walk, but give him your number. . If he really wants to sell it, he'll call you.

 

Sadly, at the moment I could buy some parts but can't justify buying a entire car if that was the case....... unless my Olds wagons sold real fast....

Even though the interior is a different colour, I'd love to have a parts wagon for my Buick.

 

Wheels and caps are gone, oh well. I did ask about the gas tank though, just mite be good to have around.........

 

Wouldn't sell you the wheels & caps but now they are gone. This guy is brain dead. He should have sold the whole car! He will realize that when its unmovable carcass is sitting in his driveway.

That whole situation seems like it will lead to nothing but aggravation. Sounds like that seller has issues....

Just follow my wife's advice: "Avoid crazy people".





Then again, if she had done that 40 years ago, we might not be together...

At least when it gets to Buick Heaven they'll give you actual prices on the parts.

I'm ASSUMING that's the name of the junkyard he wants to take it to? We have Ford, Chrysler, and GM Heavens here.

 

I'm kinda guessing demo derby heaven.
