The write up says it has power seats, and they don't show the side of the driver's seat. It may well have, at least on the driver's side.

There is one thing that does bother me, though. Look at the bumper:

That is the result of VERY hot or very rich exhaust hitting the bumper over quite a number of miles, on a car that is claimed to have under 30,000. Something is just not right. I've never seen one of these cars do that from exhaust, not even my brother's 86 with over 400,000 miles on it.

The seat controls on these are on the door pad with the window switches.

I'm thinking the controls must be on the seat.....I can't see this car not having them.....

What I'm saying is...the Electra seat controls are ordinarily located with the window switches in the picture that you show. They are not there so I am presuming that the car doesn't have power seats. If there IS a power seat switch on the side of the seat then it is a new one on me. Never seen an 88 Electra with power seat switches anywhere else other than on the arm rest with the window switches. Maybe after market?

    these cars

:dancing:Like these GM wagons. Way more style and flair than the Chevy versions. These and the Pontiacs of this era are quite nice.:1st:

I think it is some kind of covered, keyed switch for an alarm system. I have seen them at that location of cars back in the 70's and 80'.

Sheeze, if that's what it is.... could they have not put it some where else on the car.......makes it look pretty fugly.

I was kinda thinking the same but for a hood lock, after all those Olds 307's have allways been on high demand with car thieves:biglaugh::rofl::biglaugh:

Tedy, it is the Fubar set up. A very rare option and adds several hundred pennies to the value of the car. If you get driving too fast and doze off, and start veering in to the ditch, the Fubar pops out and snags a car going the other way which in turn straightens your car back out and also has a tendency to wake you up. Then, of course, you are Fubar'ed as the other driver is going to be major domo PO'd at you, but at least you didn't damage your car anyway and if you are going fast enough they'll never catch you.
