as you can see in this 1973 Chrysler trailer towing brochure, the tow rating for a t and c is up to 7000 lbs. with a load equalizing hitch assembly.

The 1972 is the same car from the windshield back, even the body side mouldings are the same as a 73. 73 had a header panel between the grille and hood, and 72 had a hood that met the bumper. My 1970 t and c (sold) was equipped with a 383HP motor and a factory tow package. The original owner bought a 31 foot Holiday Rambler travel trailer in 1971 and towed it with the wagon exclusively.

thanks to daniel bode for his awesome website.

Got to thinking about the vehicles I insisted on buying that the missus didn't exactly jump for joy about.......

    1. The '69 four-door Thunderbird that I just had to have, bought at the start of a gas crisis, when we barely making enough to pay the rent. I do wish I still owned this one though.
    2. The '72 Ford Courier that we bought from Cal Worthington Ford to replace the T-Bird. Wife said "I don't know how to drive a stick shift." "I'll teach you." I said. She never did learn.......
    3. The '76 Ford Econoline E-250 Supervan I bought in the middle of my 'van conversion' period. Did I mention it was huge? Did I also mention it was bright orange - all of it?

Of course, there's a few that she insisted we buy that I had a problem with, but I won't go into that now........
