http://www.americandreamcars.com/1969monacowagon0208.htm 383 V8. 86k miles. Looks very similar to another '69 Monaco wagon posted recently, but this one does not have cornering lamps or super lite in the grille.
From what I can see in the one picture it looks like a pretty decent wagon but im not sure about that $8500 price tag.
I normally like my wagons black but I feel like this one would look good in a deep liquid cobalt blue with or with the wood grain. But that's just me.
This car was offered about a year ago for $2000. I had the seller send me more pictures and decided it was too rusty to justify $1200 to ship it. It was well worth $2000 to a local buyer but not worth anywhere near the $8500 this guy is asking. Here's the thread it was diiscussed in. http://www.moparfins.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4909
Too bad there's so much rust. It's a good looking wagon. I Sure could use a set of those Chrysler wheels though, Hmmmmmm?
It is a shame about the rust. Otherwise a good looking wagon. That paint color goes well with the woodgrain.
Too bad about the rust, indeed, especially since it is already a repaint. Wonder how much work was done then. The other thing is the 4 wheel drum brakes. That is a LOT of car for drums all the way around, especially since front discs were a factory option.
Wow... This add is for the same car, but it's way old. I bought that car from the same guy that advertised it for $8500, but I got it for $2950 in April of 2010. Still has the same Dunlop tires on it, too, and even now only has 88K on it. I don't much care for those mirrors either, and I will probably pick up a set of original chrome ones instead. When I got the car, it had already been converted from 2bbl/single exhaust to 4bbl/dual exhaust, and electronic ignition. The drums stop good, and are at least power. The '69 Polara wagon I grew up driving didn't have power brakes... That was fun. I did offer it for sale last year, as azblackhemi mentioned, but I have it back again. Though it is still too rusty to make it worth shipping anywhere, I can at least drive it locally now, and hope to get some of that rust taken care of before it gets worse. I originally wanted to paint it a nice cobalt blue, myself, but the light turquoise is a 1 year only color, and I may just keep that, if it gets to the point where I would need to paint it. If the rust turns out to be too extensive, that may be a moot point, but we'll see.
